Back in 2007 Marcus along with John Walf, a long-standing friend from drama school, set off to film some footage in Peru for the Adventure Company. Whilst there they managed to film more footage which they have put together as Two Men and a Map (in four parts on YouTube see below), and experienced the dubious excitement of being victims of an armed robbery!
Filmed on location in Peru by Marcus Gilbert and John Walf on a ridiculously small budget... Two men feeling the need for a little affordable escape travel from the coastal desert to the high Andes and down to the Amazon basin. A humorous and occasionally informative travelogue that will give you a glimpse of Peru over the four parts.
The Peruvian adventure continues for Marcus and John and as we pick them up at 3000 metres on the road to Arequipa and follow as they progress toward the Colca Canyon...
Part three of their Peruvian Adventure finds Marcus and John in Puno coping without modern conveniences but enjoying the genteel and invigorating delights of Lake Titicaca and on...
The concluding part of their trip finds Marcus and John attempt the Inca trail, descend to Machu Picchu and head into the Amazon like the intrepid, lucky middle aged men they are.
